2012 (Sophomore):

Selected to the MVFC All-Newcomer Team...Played in all 11 games at outside
linebacker...Named MVFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance
against Illinois State despite not starting the game...Led all SIU non-starters
with 32 total tackles and 17 solo tackles on the year...Recorded a season-high
seven tackles, an interception and 1.0 sacks against Illinois State...Fourth on
the team with 4.5 sacks and 5.5 TFL, including a season-high 2.0 TFL against
Illinois State...Led the team and tied for third in the MVFC with three forced
fumbles...Tied for sixth in the MVFC with two fumble recoveries...Received
the MVFC Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award, which requires a
minimum GPA of 3.2 for the previous two semesters.
Prior to SIU:
Recorded 85 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, three sacks, six forced
fumbles and one interception in 2011 -- his only year at Highland Community
College...Began his college career at Bowling Green where he redshirted in
2010.
High School:
First-team All-State selection as a senior...Two-time All-District
and All-Region selection...Earned Defensive MVP honors at the Tennessee
East-West All-Star game...District 4-AAA Defensive Back of the Year...Went
44-8 in four years of high school football, including a 6A Tennessee state
championship as a junior...Four-year letterwinner...Posted 180 tackles,
12 interceptions, 18 pass breakups, nine forced fumbles and six fumble
recoveries in high school...Also played quarterback, passing for over 3,000
yards in his career...Earned the Scholar-Athlete Award from the National
Football Foundation...Also played three years of basketball.
