awarded annually to the baseball student-
athlete with the highest cumulative GPA
competing in the title game of the MVC
Tournament...Tied with Matt Murphy for the
team lead and tied for eighth in the MVC
with 28 appearances...Used in short relief and
in a set-up role...Made two appearances of
two innings or more...His 23 strikeouts were
second most on the team among pitchers who

2011 (FRESHMAN)
Named to the 2011 Louisville Slugger
Freshmen All-American Baseball Team as a
relief pitcher...Appeared in a team-high 22
games, all in relief...Finished with a 1-2 record
and 3.41 ERA...His eight saves tied for the
fourth-most in the MVC and the second-most
ever by a Saluki freshman...Five of his eight
saves came in MVC play, which tied for the
third-most in the conference...Held opposing
batters to a .250 batting average...Had 24
strikeouts against 12 walks...Gave up 19 runs
(11 earned) in 29.0 innings pitched...Recorded
his first career save on March 5 against Oral
Roberts by throwing three scoreless innings and
striking out five of the 11 batters he faced...
Was named to the University of Memphis
Baseball Classic All-Tournament team for his
performance against the Owls...Did not allow a
hit in seven of his 22 appearances and did not
allow a run 11 times.
