Justin Walker was named
Director of Operations on Sept.
30, 2015 after serving one year as
the graduate assistant for Saluki
Basketball.
Walker handles all
administrative responsibilities for
team operations, including team
travel, academic support, summer
camps and fund-raisers.
Walker played collegiately
at Carthage College and made
previous coaching stops as an
assistant coach at Moraine Valley
Junior College (2012-13) and
Waubonsie Valley High School
(2013-14). Moraine Valley was
31-6 and nished as national
runner-up during Walker’s season
on the staff.
“Justin has been a key member
of our basketball operation since
his arrival and does a tremendous
amount of work behind the
scenes that no one sees, but
it’s so important to keep us
running smoothly,” said Hinson.
“Furthermore, he has established
great relationships with our
players and adds another bright
young mind to our basketball
staff.”
Walker is a 2012 graduate of Eastern Illinois.
“I’m blessed for the opportunity to assist on Coach Hinson’s staff and work for a program that has produced so many
outstanding teams and coaches,” Walker said.
