The 2007 team finished the season
ranked No. 11 in the Coaches Poll,
the highest national ranking in school
history. The team’s 29 wins were also
a school record. SIU won the regular-
season MVC title for the fifth time in
six years and earned its highest NCAA
Tournament seed in school history at
