A four-sport athlete in high school and at Winstanley
College in badminton, soccer and cross country, in
addition to tennis...Played with former world No.
4 player Tim Henman as an eight-year-old in a
promotional event...Ranked No. 1 singles player in
Lancashire county and the No. 6 singles player in all
of England in the under-18 division rankings by LTA/
AEGON...Advanced to the final 16 at Wimbledon
in the national “Road to Wimbledon” 14-and-under
tournament...Played on the same Lancashire county
team with Liam Broady, who is the third ranked junior
in the world by the International Tennis Federation.

His mother Karen is a diagnostic radiographer...Has
one sister, Caitlin...His grandfather, Geoff Lyon, was a
professional rugby player for the Wigan Warriors of the
English Rugby League.
