2009-10:
Earned NCAAAll-American honors with a 13th place
finish at the NCAA Championships...Garnered All-American sta-
tus in the weight throw at the NCAA Indoor Championships with
a 14th place finish...Won the Missouri Valley Conference titles in
the weight throw and shot put for indoor and hammer throw for
outdoor competition...Earned all-MVC honors in all three plus
the discus...Recorded ten event wins during the season, including
winning both the shot put and weight throw at the Saluki Fast
Start, EIU Friday Night Special, and MVC Indoor Champion-
ships...Won the hammer throw at the SIU Spring Classic, Indiana
State Quadrangular, and MVC Outdoor Championships.
2008-09:
NCAA Regional Qualifier in the hammer throw...
Was third out of 12 competitors in the hammer throw at the SIU
Spring Classic...Finished fifth at the USATF Jr. Nationals with
his top throw of 213-08 with a 6K hammer, earning him junior
all-American status...Had a personal-best 190-00, which is the
eighth furthest in SIU outdoor history...Longest shot put of the
season came at the MVC Outdoor Championships...Finished
fifth or better in the weight throw in every indoor meet...Was
third in the shot put at the McDonald’s Invitational, Jan. 30-
31, and second at the EIU Friday Night Special in the weight
throw...He finished fourth at the MVC Indoor Championships
in the weight throw...Competed in six indoor events and eight
outdoor events.

A multi-sport athlete at local Harrisburg High
School...Set a school record and placed fifth in the state in the
