2011 season. His tenure in Jonesboro, Ark., saw Red
Wolves players earn seven All-Conference selections,
including the 2009 and 2010 Sun Belt Defensive
Players of the Year.
Ingram spent eight seasons as an assistant coach
at Kansas State prior to ASU, serving as the Wildcats’
recruiting coordinator and offensive coordinator. During
his time in Manhattan, Kan., K-State posted a 171-79
record, made seven NCAA Tournament appearances
and posted seven 20-win seasons.
Ingram’s tenure at K-State saw the Wildcats earn
American Volleyball Coaches Association top-25 final
rankings six different seasons, including a No. 11 final
ranking in 2003 when K-State went 30-5, won a Big
12 Championship and made a Sweet 16 run.
K-State’s final RPI ranked in the top-30 nationally
during seven of Ingram’s eight seasons with the
Wildcats. He helped mentor eight All-America selections
and 22 All-Big 12 selections at K-State, including four
Big 12 Liberos of the Year and the 2003 Big 12 Player
of the Year.
Prior to K-State, Ingram spent two years as an
assistant coach at the University of Houston, where
he served as the junior college recruiting coordinator,
travel coordinator and assistant director of camps. The
Cougars posted a 42-24 record, tallied consecutive 20-
win seasons and made back-to-back NCAA Tournament
appearances during his time in Houston.
Houston was the Conference USA National
Division champion in 1999 and the National Division
runner-up in 1998 with Ingram on the staff. Ingram
helped mentor six All-Conference selections at Houston,
including the 1999 C-USA Player of the Year.
A native of Milwaukee, Wis., Ingram earned his
bachelor’s degree in Community and Regional Planning
from Iowa State University in 1995 and a master’s
degree in City and Regional Planning from Cal Poly San
Luis Obispo in 1998.
